Affiliate Disclosure

How the testing desk is paid, and the boundaries that revenue does not cross.

We earn commission

fxproof.com participates in affiliate programmes operated by some of the brokers covered on this site. When a reader opens an account through one of our outbound links, we may receive a commission from that broker. That revenue funds the testing: the accounts we open, the capital we deposit and the analysts who run the process.

Pages containing such links say so. The links themselves are marked nofollow and open in a new tab.

What commission cannot buy

It cannot buy a score, a position in a ranking, an award, the removal of a weakness from a review, or advance sight of anything before publication. Scoring completes before commercial terms are discussed, and the analyst producing a ranking cannot see whether a commercial relationship exists with the brokers in it.

Rankings on this site are produced mechanically from the measurement named at the top of each page. Where two brokers tie, the tie is broken by the pillar that defines the category and then by Trust Score — never by commission rate.

Where brokers are covered without a relationship

Some brokers we test have no affiliate relationship with us at all. They are tested, scored and published on exactly the same terms, and several of them outrank brokers that do pay us. That is the point of publishing the methodology: it is checkable.

Methodology version 2026.2 governs the current edition. See the full protocol on the methodology page.
