Markets4you (formerly Forex4you)
We opened the file on Markets4you (formerly Forex4you) the way we open every file: register first, marketing never. Trading since 2007, run out of Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and carrying 2 licence entries on the public record, 0 of them tier-1.
What the two desk scores say
Both are out of 10 and both are computed, not felt.
| Cost score | Priced off the spread basis below, not off a headline rate card. | not verified |
|---|---|---|
| Safety score | Weighted on licence tier and on how many of the entries we could re-read at source. | not verified |
| Cost per 10 lots | Ten round-turn EUR/USD lots priced at the spread basis, commission excluded. | $not verified |
Spread basis. . Nothing on this page is a live quote; a spread printed on a Tuesday afternoon is not the spread you get thirty seconds after a non-farm payroll release.
Licence entries, one row per entity
Every row links to the document we read it from.
| Regulator | Licence no. | Jurisdiction | Tier | Licensed entity | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FSC British Virgin Islands | SIBA/L/12/1027 | British Virgin Islands | T3 | E-Global Trade & Finance Group, Inc. | forex4you.com |
| FSC Mauritius | GB21026460 | Mauritius | T3 | Trade4you International | markets4you.com |
Which entity actually holds your money is decided at signup, by the country on your application — not by the strongest licence in this table. Read the client agreement you are handed, then match the entity name against the row above.
What we were able to confirm
Confirmed at source
- The Forex4you brand has been rebranded to Markets4you; the group's regulation page is now hosted at markets4you.com.
- The broker's own licence page states E-Global Trade & Finance Group, Inc. is authorised and regulated by the BVI FSC under the Securities and Investment Business Act 2010, licence SIBA/L/12/1027.
- The group's regulations page states Trade4you International is incorporated in Mauritius under registration number GBC 182286 and regulated by the FSC Mauritius under licence GB21026460.
- Neither entity holds a tier-1 or EU licence.
- Markets4you (formerly Forex4you) states the broker was launched in 2007 with its first account types, 'Cent Lite and Classic Lite', and that E-Global Trade & Finance Group, Inc. received its BVI FSC investment business licence in 2011-2012; the site footer reads '© Copyright 2007' (https://www.markets4you.com/en/about-us/).
- Markets4you's regulations page states client funds are segregated — "We store your funds in major global banks, separately from the company's funds" — and its site footer states E-Global Trade & Finance Group, Inc. guarantees an annual audit by a Big Four accounting firm and insurance via Willis Group Holdings PLC (https://www.markets4you.com/en/regulations-data-centers/).
- Markets4you's account comparison lists Classic Standard, Classic Pro and Cent Pro accounts, each with a $0 minimum deposit, floating spreads from 0.9, 0.1 and 0.1 pips respectively, and leverage from 1:10 to 1:4000; its trading conditions page tiers leverage by equity from 1:4000 (up to $1,000) down to 1:100 (above $250,000) and reserves the right to reduce leverage to 1:25 (https://www.markets4you.com/en/compare-accounts/).
- The broker's own news release of 8 April 2024 announced the rebrand: 'Award-winning Trading Platform Forex4you Unveils New Identity, Rebranded as Markets4you'; the site footer reads 'Markets4you and Share4you is a registered trademark of E-Global Trade & Finance Group, Inc.' (https://www.markets4you.com/en/company-news/news-release-award-winning-trading-platform-forex4you-unveils-new-identity-rebranded-as-markets4you/).
Not verified
The following could not be traced to a primary source at the time of filing. We publish the gap rather than a number that would look tidier:
- founded and hq — not stated on the pages read
- minDeposit, maxLeverage, spreadEurusd — advertised figures only
- segregatedFunds and negativeBalanceProtection
- account type names not confirmed against a legal document
- headquarters
- negative balance protection
- spreadEurusd — the compare page publishes only floating-spread floors (Classic Standard from 0.9 pip, Classic Pro and Cent Pro from 0.1 pip); no typical EURUSD spread is stated on the account or trading-conditions pages
- negativeBalanceProtection — the regulations page carries a 'Negative balance protection' marketing bullet, but the BVI Client Agreement (v. 2026, 7 pages) contains no negative-balance clause, and the trading conditions page describes Stop Out only as a measure 'to decrease the risks of clients' negative balance', not as a guarantee — left null
- maxLeverage regional variance — the South Africa regional page advertises leverage 'from 1:10 to 1:2000' while the global (BVI) compare page shows up to 1:4000; the string above reflects the global/BVI spec
- accountTypes — the seeded array ['Cent','Classic','Pro STP','Demo'] predates the rebrand; the live compare page lists Classic Standard, Classic Pro and Cent Pro, and 'Demo' does not appear on it
- founded — 2007 is the brand launch year per the broker's about page; the BVI company's incorporation date could not be independently verified (BVI corporate registry not freely searchable)
- access — markets4you.com and forex4you.com serve Cloudflare bot challenges to automated clients (curl and headless browser both get 403), so pages were verified via Wayback Machine snapshots of the live URLs; the live pages themselves respond normally to human browsers

CFDs are complex instruments with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. A desk file is a record of what the public register said on the day we read it, not a recommendation to open an account.
